Hey, I'm Meredith! I have just recently relocated to Minneapolis, MN after living in Missoula, MT for the past 13 years.

My journey as a creator began with photography, where I studied light, composition, and color. These foundational skills translate well into stained glass, a medium that lets me bring those elements to life in a tangible, luminous form.

While I’ve explored various creative avenues, glass holds a special place in my heart. It challenges me both physically and conceptually, striking the perfect balance between hands-on craftsmanship and boundless creativity.

My inspiration comes from many places. Lately, I’ve been delving into the psychology of color and its emotional impact, crafting pieces that explore the interplay of hues. Nature is another muse, especially during the winter months when I create vibrant, glass “forever flowers” that brighten windows and spirits alike. Through my work, I hope to evoke wonder and joy—a playful celebration of color and light.

I am currently experimenting with the shapes of crystal bevels to refract light in unique ways, adding an extra dimension of brilliance to my designs. Additionally, I incorporate grounding, natural elements like agate slices into my pieces, blending the raw beauty of nature with the sparkle of stained glass. These elements bring a tactile and organic quality to my work, connecting it to the natural world.

My process begins with pen and paper as I design each pattern. I trace these designs onto colored glass, score and break each piece, and meticulously grind the edges. Copper foil tape is applied and burnished, then the pieces are soldered together, sometimes framed with lead, brass, or copper. Finally, the work is washed, optionally patinaed, waxed, and polished to perfection.

I focus on creating stained glass sun catchers and panels because their accessibility allows more people to experience the magic of stained glass. Working on a smaller scale also gives me the freedom to experiment and play, infusing each piece with spontaneity and joy.

Through my art, I aim to capture light, color, and emotion, crafting pieces that transform spaces and bring happiness to those who see them.
